If you have a Twin Outboard boat, you need to know how to dock it...
Docking Your Twin Outboard Boat is EASY...
Even Boaters Who Think They Can Dock a Boat
Will be Able to dock Even Better & Look Like a Pro!
Proven, step-by-step "How-to-dock-a-boat" e-Lessons from an authority on boat docking who has taught thousands—on all sizes and types of boats from outboards to motor yachts.
Twin Outboard or O/B motors are clamped or bolted to the transom of the boat, whereby the entire motors are located on the outside of the boat. Both motors turn together for steering.
Docking a boat with twins is not twice as easy! Without being shown how, it can be more than twice as difficult.
Doug shares the "Twin trick" for mastering some twins, while others are far easier using his "arc method".
This e-lesson will teach you both systems and on which boat each works best. This will simplify docking a Twin Outboard Boat. Approximately 120 pages with diagrams and pictures and step-by-step instructions.
Doug, I spoke with you on the phone some time ago and you very graciously answered some questions that I had posed via email. I live in Florida and have a Grady White 330 Express.
I wanted to let you know I have embraced your methods and that mine and my First Mate's boat handling/docking gets better with each outing. It was very helpful for me to speak with you.
Thanks again for being so thorough and professional in your materials and presentations and most of all for being so willing to help. All the best.
"I received your boat docking e-Lesson on Twin Outboards. Great information. I have been a boater since 2002 owning a 26' Center Console--twin outboards. I wish I had found your website earlier as I have learned some great tips from the e-Lesson."

"Doug, Thanks for the tip!! I appreciate your insight and assistance. Your book is the best $30 I ever spent in boating!! Thanks again.
—Dave Leger, MA
I have purchased both the TOB introductory and advanced courses along with the video. I have been able to use some of the techniques to advantage on our boat but have also been successful at times maneuvering the boat in the same manner as a twin inboard. In tight situations I am tending to intermix the two and lose track of where I am at times!
The engines on the Grady White 330 Express are set somewhat farther apart than most boats with twins and I also have a bow thruster. Dealer I purchased the boat from oriented me to the boat in the twin inboard manner and I have read some boat reviews that states this boat handles more like a twin inboard given the spacing of the outboards and the size of the props on the 350 hp engines.
Hope you don't mind me asking the quick question if you have any experience with this particular boat and if you would still recommend using the "arc" method for close quarter handling? I will take your answer at face value and promise not to try to start a running dialogue.
I commend you on the intelligent and informative manner you have put together your materials. They have been very helpful to both me and my "first mate".
Twin Outboards are popular, but difficult to dock without the technique!

I decided to purchase the video and Advanced book plus the dock tying book. All have sections I can learn from immediately, given our wind and current situations at our marina. (I just love the Introductory elesson book so purchasing the rest will keep me going). I will slowly work through them all, taking special care not to "merge" the procedures as you recommended. And practice practice practice ! Knowing what is available and just taking my time is the key for me at this stage. Then as my confidence grows so too will my skill sets in docking. I look forward to receiving your newsletters and letting you know how I go. Reading the testimonials only shows that my experience is common. Finding your website and hearing personally from you both has restored my confidence in getting "back out there". Thank you again.
Just something I have not complimented you both on, are all the diagrams. They are clear and help with the planing process in leaving the slip and then docking. I always(!) have a drawn up "boat plan" for going out and coming in and your eLessons have really helped with this process.
